A Unique Parker Arrow

Sometimes you are just lucky to find a pen which is unique or very rare. It happened to me to stumble over a Parker Arrow where I couldn't find any additional information on the internet.

Asking around, I was told that especially Parker had one-to-several piece test-runs and this might be one of them.

So, I proudly present a rare or even unique Parker Arrow fountain pen:

On the trimband is written PARKER, the Parker France icon MADE in France AC and another Parker icon.

According to the Parkerpens.net's Parker pen code pages, AC means that this pen was produced in the 2nd quarter of 1982.

Parker seems to have played around with such kind of designs, see the torsade finish of a Parker 180 which is from 1981.

From the 4th quarter of 1981 is my second Parker Arrow, 12K gold filled (cap&barrel), Made in USA.

weights will follow later

The nib writes really smooth. The lines are about 0.5 mm (M). A very nice pen for those who prefer such slim pens. Unfortunately, my pen size is more Montblanc 149 or Sailor KoP.

Slimming down

Update: I started selling - see my sales pages : In order to sell most of my pens, I first had to made up my mind what I want to keep. May I present here my target collection, the ones to keep. It is a page in progress, there are still many holes in the data. Waldmann Pens Counting from the left, pen 1-4, 7-10 are the same model: the model Precieux (Deep Wide) Lines in Sterling silver. Pen 8-10 are the original model (fountain pen, mechanical pencil and ball-pen). Pen 1-4 are the yellow-gold vermeil version of it (mechanical pencil, rollerball, ball-pen and fountain pen) and pen 7 is the rose-gold vermeil version of the fountain pen. The rose-gold fountain pen has a rose-gold-plated 18k nib. Pen 6 is the same model in steel, coated in black (Waldmann P2000). But it is not a typical steel, it is  a recycled steel from gun barrels recycled by the German police. It is a limited edition, meanwhile sold out. Read more about it here . Unfortunately, the silver model is meanwhile als...

Waldmann Pen's catalogs 2008-2024

The company Waldmann Pens exists since more than 100 years. Due to destruction of the Waldmann factory including the archives during WWII, all information before this event is lost. After the death of the founder in 1964, the owner changed several times until in 2007, the recent owner, Stefan Schnirch, took over. And only since his start, catalogs of the produced models exist. You can see and download the catalogs from 2008 until 2024 from my Goggle Drive. I got permission from Mr. Schnirch to offer them here. GoogleDrive

My cafe at the Boulevard St.Michel is now relocated into a shopping mall in Japan

Once upon a time, I was young and was studying for my thesis in Paris (at the end of the 1980s). Every Saturday morning, I went by Metro to a cafe at the Boulevard St.Michel. I don't remember the name but it looks like it is called "Le Lutece" now. I bought a German newspaper, had my coffee and wrote some to do memos for the next week. Now, 35 years later, Paris is too far away and such kind of cafes do not exist in Narita (Japan). So, I am going by bicycle to a shopping mall. I am also buying groceries here and there. I am using a back-pack and shopping consists of regular  removing all the contents of my back-pack and repacking them. I am always afraid that I would loose my pens when doing this, so I have a special pen set for this "coffee-drinking-shopping". This is it. A leather daily diary and a leather pen box and some famous pens. I gotcha.  Everything in this picture is not what it looks like.  While the pen box is described as "leather" on Ali...
